biography
Maria
She has been painting for as long as she can remember. However, she was never formally trained before and was only self-taught. She received a Chinese brush painting/Sumi-E training in 2005 with Mrs. Susan Wilders at Morikami Museum and Japanese Garden in Delray Beach. Mrs. Susan Wilders was a student of two prominent Chinese brush painting masters, Mr. Chow Chian Chiu and Mrs. Chow-Leung Chen Yin.
​Maria also paints with oil and acrylic. She had her oil/acrylic training at Boca Raton Art School with Mr. Larry Gerber. She also paints on fabric with a wax and dye technique from the famous Indonesian Batik teacher who works for a prominent Batik brand in Indonesia.
She had been showing her paintings in several different exhibitions and won several other competitions.
Maria also loves creating unique jewelry from leather, metals, glass beads, Swarovski crystals, woods, silvers, gold, etc.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design in 2002 from the University North of Carolina in Greensboro, North Carolina, and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 2021 from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida.
